Jean Tsoi

Born in Hong Kong, 1982, received her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong and graduated with a Master of Arts in Fine Arts from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She has garnered over 20 years of experience in film art direction, having participated in local and international film productions in countries like Montenegro, Brazil, Myanmar, Jordan, Japan, Thailand, Budapest, Spain and China. She founded her studio Overland Creative in 2013, serving as Artistic Director, overseeing a wide spectrum of design projects.

With a multitude of approaches and methods, Jean Tsoi is dedicated to exploring meanings and metaphors. Expressive and emotive, her works vary between the virtual and the real, consisting of direct yet intricate imageries, via different tools of creative expressions like sculpture, installation, computer generated graphics, photography and text.
